Biography: Veronica is a professional feminist who directs an office for women majoring in science, technology, engineering and math. She also serves on the boards of the Chicago Abortion Fund, Women In Media & News, and the advocacy council for Women Employed. A partner for 15, wife for 9, and a mom for 5, Veronica blogs about the intersection of feminism and motherhood at her blog Viva la Feminista. While some mommy bloggers started as a response to post-partum depression, Veronica started blogging as a result of post-election (2000) depression.

Hard Times

Poverty. Unemployment. Homelessness. Social insecurity. For issues like these we really need to spare some change. Give us your two cents to help put a hot meal of content on this table for others to consume, and give those less fortunate than ourselves some credit.

Political Landscape

This terrain can be highly treacherous. Watch your step as you navigate the sifting sands of political agendas and government policies. Hopefully we can wipe away the slinging mud and scroll around for the truth that rarely dares to surface.

Social Rights

Equality. Remember that? It's a mythical utopia most of us are still searching for. Let's stand up for the minorities and the moral injustices that many have to face every day. Let's discriminate against discrimination. Does that sound fair to you?

Well-Being

Without our health, we have nothing. There are many things out there trying to harm us: AIDS; Pollution; Global Warming; Bird Flu; Medical bills. Some are natural, some are man-made, and unfortunately for us the list is endless. More posts here might be just the medicine we need.
