• Biography: As the editor-in-chief of POZ magazine and POZ.com, Regan Hofmann is responsible for the editorial direction of the award-winning publication and website for those living with and those affected by HIV/AIDS. Her vision for POZ includes raising awareness of HIV/AIDS, encouraging people to get tested for HIV, connecting people to care, utilizing the community of people living with HIV in prevention efforts and highlighting how the epidemic disproportionately affects African Americans, gay men and MSM, and women. She also aims to fight the stigma surrounding HIV that has barely lessened in a quarter of a century since the disease was first identified. Hofmann serves as editorial director of POZ’s parent company, Smart + Strong, overseeing Real Health and Tu Salud magazines/websites, two publications that offer general health information for, respectively, African American and Latino people.
