My favorite McCain commercial is the one that says "Obama is for more government spending, so that means less jobs." Really? More goverment spending means less jobs? Agree to disagree. (posted to McCain's Obama Strategy is Working)

Cigarette taxes can certainly be regressive, imposing a larger burden on lower income tax payers. I agree that this is a problem and we should move to a more progressive tax structure overall. I would also strongly support increasing benefits (posted to Are Cigarette Taxes Becoming Unethical?)
Ok, I know David here runs marathons. I can't, but I used to be an athlete in high school and sprinting was my thing; but you don't need to have been or be an athlete to understand the radically different (posted to A Victory For Diff-able Athletes Everywhere)
I agree that HGH/steroids is another category altogether, but I think the point of Evan's and my comments were more about the implications of this move. The point is that competitions are just that: competitions. They're not "everyone's a winner" (posted to A Victory For Diff-able Athletes Everywhere)

Hard Times

Poverty. Unemployment. Homelessness. Social insecurity. For issues like these we really need to spare some change. Give us your two cents to help put a hot meal of content on this table for others to consume, and give those less fortunate than ourselves some credit.

Political Landscape

This terrain can be highly treacherous. Watch your step as you navigate the sifting sands of political agendas and government policies. Hopefully we can wipe away the slinging mud and scroll around for the truth that rarely dares to surface.

Social Rights

Equality. Remember that? It's a mythical utopia most of us are still searching for. Let's stand up for the minorities and the moral injustices that many have to face every day. Let's discriminate against discrimination. Does that sound fair to you?

Well-Being

Without our health, we have nothing. There are many things out there trying to harm us: AIDS; Pollution; Global Warming; Bird Flu; Medical bills. Some are natural, some are man-made, and unfortunately for us the list is endless. More posts here might be just the medicine we need.
