A lot of people outside the US would like to see him re-open the investigation on what happened on 09/11/01, close the prison at Gitmo, get out of Iraq AND Afghanistan as well as redistribute what remains of America's wealth (posted to My Guy Won, So Why am I Depressed?)
Thanks for your comments, everyone. I agree that the positive impact of electing a black president will be enormous and global. But I also caution myself and everyone I know to not expect Obama to be our knight in shining (posted to My Guy Won, So Why am I Depressed?)

I couldn't agree more. A couple of years ago I received notification that I'd just been nominated for Best Musician at the 2007 Bear Music Awards in Nashville. I was surprised and delighted because I hadn't even known that people (posted to And the Losers Are...)

Hard Times

Poverty. Unemployment. Homelessness. Social insecurity. For issues like these we really need to spare some change. Give us your two cents to help put a hot meal of content on this table for others to consume, and give those less fortunate than ourselves some credit.

Political Landscape

This terrain can be highly treacherous. Watch your step as you navigate the sifting sands of political agendas and government policies. Hopefully we can wipe away the slinging mud and scroll around for the truth that rarely dares to surface.

Social Rights

Equality. Remember that? It's a mythical utopia most of us are still searching for. Let's stand up for the minorities and the moral injustices that many have to face every day. Let's discriminate against discrimination. Does that sound fair to you?

Well-Being

Without our health, we have nothing. There are many things out there trying to harm us: AIDS; Pollution; Global Warming; Bird Flu; Medical bills. Some are natural, some are man-made, and unfortunately for us the list is endless. More posts here might be just the medicine we need.
