Lead a green lifestyle

Ideal Bite logo.gifThere are little things that anyone can do to become more environmentally-conscious. For example, you can trade in your old light bulbs for more energy-efficient compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) and find out how to make your home more energy-efficient. Throw away your plastic bags and find new alternatives. Before traveling or commuting, think about your ultimate impact on the environment. This is easier than it sounds. A growing number of sites -- like Ideal Bite (a Daily Candy for the "green" crowd) -- provide "bite-sized" ideas for green living and help you choose the right types of "green" products that really make a difference for the environment.

very nice

I think the green idea is great - I think it is a little late and we should have started making these changes earlier, but I am glad we have started making these changes now.

I make sure I take used plastic bags with me to supermarkets, and what's great is now they have recycling bins...if you get into a cycle you can get rid of your trash in those bags, and then re-use them after shopping.

Something as small as recycling your trash can make such a difference.
I hope that we can be the change that we wish to see in the world.

I appreciate more people getting into and exposed to the "green" way of life. it's funny tho, nothing is new under the sun, in times when folks had less money, more people as a whole, tended to "recycle." it's just more expensive to buy new! We have a long way to go. peace.

Our companies make it far too easy to not be "green." When I asked by daughter-in-law if she was going to use cloth or paper (really plastic) diapers on her soon-to-be firstborn, she said, "Paper." I was surprised, because I thought she'd choose cloth because they were cheaper. Pampers used to be quite expensive, but no more. You can now buy 250 paper/plastic diapers for about the same price as 36 paper ones 35 or so years ago. Why would anyone want to use cloth diapers? Just think how much plastic goes into the landfill for diapers alone!

I found a web site is Thailand that sells those fish oil capsules that take care of the fatty acids. I am not sure that they are safe to eat but I am tempted by the cost. Any suggestion how to have better control over the quality of my diet supplements?

I must say I completely agree with you that trying our best to be "greener" is a great thing to do, and light bulbs is step in that direction, as is recycling.

One thing that upsets me however about the green movement is that it has been hyjacked by Globalists. There is so much evidence that there is no man made global warming, and that any warming of the earth is from Sun spots and not man made carbon. Infact the earth has been much hotter than it is now and the planet flourished , with areas like the Uk growing grapes for wine etc...and also in the industrial revolution when carbon emmissions where rapidly increasing, the planet for 30 years, three consecutive decades actually got cooler!!

This new agenda headed by Mr Gore and others is nothing more than opportunists trying to tax global economies.

I wish there were more people like you that actually care about the environment and give advice like this on recycling which is great, as waste pollution are still very real environmental issues.

Thank you for your integrity
