Obama Speaks Out on Iran

After days of criticism for not taking a hard stance against the violence and election controversy in Iran over the past week, President Obama has made his position clear: While it is not up to the United States to tell the Iranian people who their leaders should be, it is within the United States' rights to object unequivocally to the violation of international norms and principles against violence.

The Daily Beast offers this abbreviated version of what that site considers the most important part of the president's press conference on Tuesday. The rest of the conference can be seen at CNN.com.

Too little too late. Obama has zero leadership. It really shows here as it took his critics to show him the obvious response to the Iran situation. As the young protestors were slaughtered in the street fighting for a legit election, the "leader" of the free world sat and did nothing.

One step closer to communism? Now Obama is planting reporters at press conferences with pre-scripted questions.(ie the left-wing, Huffington post blogger) What's next, be total control of the media? Hey, just like Iran...

Don't make Obama into the world's policeman. What's most interesting about this Iranian thing is what's happening with the women in Iran. This will have repercussions across the world, I believe.
