This may be John McCain's convention, but if anecdotal evidence is any indication at all, passion is largely on Ron Paul's side. This is a video of an encounter I found both enlightening and funny. A Theodore Roosevelt impersonator is greeting people in full costume and character when a trio of Ron Paul supporters roll up on the scene. A debate ensues, a rift in the space-time continuum opens, and we examine Teddy Roosevelt's support for today's Republican nominee for President of the United States of America.

Wow, that was a bit surreal. Loved "Teddy" taking the Paul fans to task for talking over each other.

So surreal! That part was funny...a few funny moments. Ah, politics! It brings out the Fellini in all of us it seems...

I hate to say it but I think Teddy Roosevelt beat the Ron Paul supporters pretty bad.

that teddy can hold his own! i feel like if the ron paul supporters would have let one person go head to head, they could have nailed him. there were weak spots in his argument for sure. but he got them on the defense, made them unsure and then drilled them with history. and historical knowledge is power.

That was quite entertaining. It inspired me to look up Teddy Roosevelt and it turns out he was quite on the left and alienated many of his fellow republicans with his progressive stances. The trouble with the Ron Paul guys is that they appear too angry. For an anti-war platform, the guys (especially the bearded fellow) seem to be war-loving on a personal basis.
