The Green Programming has returned for another month of Tuesdays on the Sundance network. If you missed last week's Season premiere, be sure to catch episode 2 at 9pm of It's Not Easy Being Green, where "Dick and James meet Sisters Jake and Candy Moriarty, who have sold the family B&B and now want to create and eco-friendly campsite on land they own in Cornwall."
A Television Premiere will air at 9:35, entitled, The Unforeseen, which is directed by Laura Dunn. This documentary "maps the transformation of Austin, Texas from freewheeling small town to ever-growing metropolis. At the center of the film is the battle over a proposed residential subdivision at Barton Springs, a beloved local swimming hole that lies on a major aquifer." This documentary combines lyrical cinematography, illuminating archival footage and even-handed reportage.
To end tonight's green programming, Big Ideas for a Small Planet will air at 11:15pm featuring an episode entitled; GEN Y which explains how, "generation Y, the children of baby boomers, now in their late teens to early 20s- have come of age to even-louder warnings about the state of the planet. It's an eco-aware group, but also a maximalist one, inclined toward buying, eating, traveling and consuming more than any generation before. By blending environmentalism with consumerism, the life choices Gen Y is making right now- how they party, where they go to college, even how they get married- open a fascinating window onto how future generations will care for the earth."
Sundance Green Programming Starting on 8/5
