There's no doubt that the "green" revolution is upon us. Every day we're presented with new evidence that reminds us that our delicate bio system is on the brink of hitting its tipping point after which there will be no return. Now that we have overcome our denial phase, we can take little steps -- aided and abetted by a willing government -- to make this world a better place. In England they have done just so -- one plastic bag at a time -- and have some good news to report: Shops gave away one billion fewer plastic bags last year as they responded to a government call to improve their record on the environmental damage they cause.
And a tip of the hat to the England's Independent newspaper for its Green Living section, where I came up with this item and lots of other goodies.
