Is sickness itself an epidemic? Despite our organic foods and yoga studios, are we more ill overall now then we were 40 years ago?
Maybe, or maybe we just have the words to name what ails us where before we didn't. And now, thanks to a map launched last year by Google, we have the means to find out exactly what is afflicting our neighbors.
At Who is Sick, you can plug in your symptoms and find out what's been going around that matches them. Or you can just read up on the most common sicknesses in an area you may be moving to -- or just one you may be curious about. There's even a discussion board, which as of this writing had not yet gone live, where you can chat with your fellow convalescents -- and no doubt share a few hypochondriac, misguided diagnoses.
First-year medical students beware.
